Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2023
The government of Andhra Pradesh always works hard for the students of the state as they are the future of our country. Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme started because the state government wants to support children to study and not do any part-time jobs. Under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme, the students will be provided scholarships that will help them to do higher studies. The scheme launched on 24th February 2020 will give financial assistance of rs 20000 to deserving students. With the help of this financial assistance, the students can pay the fees of the degree/ ITI/ polytechnic level courses. For the implementation of the scheme, the state government passed a budget of Rupees 2300 crores. The financial assistance will be directly given to the mother of the student. If the mother is not available then it will be given to the legal guardian.

Benefits of Jagananna Vasathi Deevena
- The students will be receiving financial assistance from the government for their studies.
- Now it will help the students not to worry about the fees of their courses as now they will receive assistance in form of scholarships.

- The state government will give Rs 20,000/- per year.
- Students who are staying in Welfare hostels don’t have to pay mess charges.
- Money incentives are Rs 15,000 for Polytechnic students, Rs 10,000 for ITI Students, and Rs 20,000 for Graduate Degrees and other courses.
Eligibility Criteria
- No one from the family should be in a government job.
- There should be no one in the family who is receiving a pension.
- According to this scheme, the government will give exemptions to the Sanctuary Workers.
- Individuals who are pursuing a Polytechnic, ITI, and Degree are allowed to take benefit of the scheme.
- The individual should be enrolled in Government or Government Aided institutions or Private Colleges affiliated with State Universities/ Boards.
- The annual income of the individual’s family should not exceed Rs 2.5 Lakh per anum.
- No one in the family should have any four-wheelers such as Cars, Taxis, Auto, etc).
- The student family should not have more than 1500 sq. feet built area in municipal areas.
