The state government decided to launch this Odisha Inter Caste Marriage Scheme to support the people who do inter-caste marriages. Web portal launched by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. So, the citizens who want to take advantage of the scheme can apply online by visiting the Sumangal portal (sumangal.odisha.gov.in). The people can register for inter-Caste marriage and can easily get incentives. The SC and ST development, Minority, and backward classes welfare department made the portal. Earlier in August 2017, the incentive that the state government decided was 50000and after that it was increased to rs 1 lakh. But on October 2020, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made an announcement about another increase in incentives that is of 1.5 lakhs. So, now the total amount is 2.5 lakhs.
