Scholarship Scheme
Pragati is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE which is aimed at providing assistance for the Advancement of Girls pursuing Technical Education. As prescribed by the AICTE education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. Thus, the motto of the scholarship was “Empowering Women through Technical Education”

Saksham Scholarship Scheme
Saksham is an MHRD Scheme being implemented by AICTE which is aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue Technical Education. The Saksham Scholarship is an attempt to give every young student, who is otherwise especially abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future.
Feature Of Pragati & Saksham Scholarship
The following features of the scheme are given on the official website:-
- Total Number of Scholarship-1000 per Annum ( 500 for Degree and 500 for Diploma)
- The Scholarships for degrees and diplomas are transferable in the event of the non-availability of eligible applicants in any of the Degree/Diploma level Programmes.
- The candidate should be admitted to 1st year of the Degree/Diploma course in any of the AICTE-approved institutions of the respective year through the Centralized Admission Process of the State/Central Government.
- Specially Abled Students, having a disability of not less than 40% and family income not more than 8 lakh per annum during the preceding financial year (in the case of a married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered)
- The selection of candidates will be made on merit on the basis of a qualifying examination to peruse the respective Technical Degree/Diploma course from any of the AICTE-approved institutions.
Saksham Scholarship Amount
- Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less, and Rs.20000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year.
- In case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement Students are eligible to get an amount of Rs. 30,000/- for the purchase of Books/Equipment/Software/ Laptop/Desktop/Vehicle/Fee paid towards competitive examination applications forms/exam/ specific equipment/ software for visually impaired/ speech and hearing disabled.
- Reservation-15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% for OBC candidate/applicant.
Amount Benefits
- Pragati Scholarship is only for Girls who are studying in AICTE-approved institutions
- Under the Scheme, a total of 4000 Girl’s Students will be selected as a beneficiary.
- Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less, and Rs.20000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year.
Documents Required For The Application
Certain documents required to apply for the Pragati & Saksham Scholarship scheme such:-
- Education Certificates – Mark Sheet of standard Xth /XIIth / others as applicable.
- Income Certificate – Annual family Income Certificate for the preceding financial year in the prescribed format issued by those, not below the rank of Tahsildar.
- A disability certificate is issued by the Competent Authority to prove the disabilities.
- Admission letter issued by the Directorate of Technical Education for admission in Diploma/Degree course.
- Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/ Head of the Institute.
- Tuition fee receipt.
- AADHAR seeded Bank Pass Book in the name of the student indicating the Account
- number, IFSC code, and Photograph.
- Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC category to prove the caste.
- AADHAR card.
- Declaration by parents duly signed stating that the information provided by their child is correct and will refund the Scholarship amount if found false at any stage.

First Step Registration
- First of all, you have to register yourself under the Scheme.
- Provide Your Name, Email Id, and Desired Password to get registration under the Scholarship Scheme
- Now verify your Email ID.
Second Step Fill Application Form
- After Successful Registration under the portal Now Login with your User ID and Password
- After the Login, you have to submit 5 types of Details under the Pragati & Saksham Scholarship Application Form

Application Rejection Reasons
The following are the reasons for the rejection of the application. Must read to avoid rejection of your application:
- If you applied under the wrong category
- If you are a lateral entry student at a degree/diploma level
- If your admission is not made through the centralized admission process
- If the course or Institute/ College is not approved by AICTE
- If taken admitted to the non-technical course
- If incomplete or wrong information is filled by you in the application form
- If you are admitted in duel degree courses or Post-graduate courses or management Quota or Spot Admission Quota
- If you are availing of scholarship from any other resources
Pragati Scholarship Scheme Merit List
The merit list is not yet disclosed by the All India Council of Technical Education. You may check the list through the official website after released by the organization. To check the list you need to follow a few easy steps as mentioned further
- Open the official website of the council
- Go to the schemes option and select “student development scheme”
- Go to the Pragati scholarship and click “batch 2022”
- Select merit list appropriate link for degree or diploma
- Click on it and PDF will appear on the screen and you can search for your name in the list
Pragati Scholarship Application Process through NSP Portal
- Open the official website of the national scholarship portal.
- Now from the home page, go to the AICTE/ UGC Schemes option.
- There you will find the AICTE Pragati scholarship.
- Read all the details carefully and then click on the apply online option.
- Now you will be redirected to a login page where you have to enter your login details if you are already registered on the portal.
