Objectives Of the Gifts
As we all know that when the Pongal festival arrives all the farmers of the state put in there each and every inch of hard work into the farms they have been working on the whole year for. So, the concerned Government of Tamil Nadu state has come out with the gift hamper scheme to help the farmers improve their daily wages plus to upload a sense of belonging in the minds of the farmers and wish everyone a happy and healthy Pongal. Also as announced by the concerned government Rs 2363.13 crore rupees have been allotted for the implementation of the gift hamper

Specifications Of The Gift
As announced by the concerned authorities of Tamilnadu State the gift hamper will have the following specification with it:-
- One kg of rice
- One kg of sugar
- 20gm of cashew nuts
- 20gm of raisins
- 2 feet long sugarcane piece
Also, sarees and dhotis will also be distributed among all the other people.
Application Process For The Pongal Gifts
The chief minister of Tamil Nadu state has already started the preparation of the scheme by distributing the gift hamper to 16 beneficiaries as a trial. Although still the official notification of the gift hampers that will be distributed among the farmers of the Tamil Nadu state has not yet been developed for the applicants it is mention by the concerned authorities that the people who are having rice ration card will be eligible for the gifts.
