Balika Samridhi Yojana

  • At the time of admission in any public school in grade I, Rs.4.000/- is paid to the girl child.

  • The scheme is only open to permanent residents of the Rajasthan state.
  • Also, the scheme is only open for the girl child who is born after the date of 1st June’16.

  • Rs.6000/- has to be deposited every year in your post office savings account for a period of five years.
  • The girl child then receives Rs. 2,000 in Grade 6th
  • Rs. 4000 in Grade 9th
  • Rs. 7,500 in Grade 11th.
  • Also, a monthly stipend of Rs 200 is given.
  • At 21 years of age, the deposited amount will mature and can be used at the time of marriage.

Implementation Of Government Schemes for Girl Child

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana will implement in certain stages finalized by the concerned authority:-

  • Stage 1 – If a girl is born after 1st April 2019 then she will be awarded Rupees 2000 for one time.
  • Stage 2 – If a girl child has received full immunization and is born after 1st April 2018 then she will receive Rupees 1000 for one time.
  • Stage 3 – If a girl child has taken admitted to Standard First in the current year then she will receive Rupees 1000 for one time.
  • Stage 4 – If a girl child has taken admitted to Standard 6th in the current year then she will receive Rupees 2000 for one time.
  • Stage 5 – If a girl child has taken admitted to Standard 9th in the current year then she will receive Rupees 3000 for one time.
  • Stage 6 – If a girl child has taken admitted to any bachelor’s degree or diploma in the current year then she will receive Rupees 5000 for one time.

Eligibility Criteria Under MKSY 2023

To enroll yourself under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana you need to follow this simple eligibility criterion:-

  •  The applicant must belong to Uttar Pradesh state.
  • The applicant must produce relevant Ration card or Aadhar Card details to prove that she belongs to Uttar Pradesh state.
  • Under the scheme, only two girl children will get benefit from one family.
  • In the case of twins from the second delivery of the mother, all three girl children will get benefits.
  • If your family has adopted one girl child, then a maximum of two girl children will benefit, including the biological child and an adopted child.
  • The family income should not exceed Rupees 300000.
  • To be eligible under the scheme, the family should only own two children.

Mazi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme

The Mazi Kanya Bhagyashree scheme was launched in Maharashtra state and under the scheme –

  • The mother will get Rs.5,000/- for the first five years after her daughter’s birth.
  • Rs.2,500/- will be provided per year until she reaches Grade V
  • Rs.3000/- will be provided per year until she reaches Grade XII.
  • After the age of 18 years, she will be provided with Rs.1 lakh per year for her education.

Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana

Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana is also another incentive scheme of the state government of Bihar state. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana Rs.2000/- is given after showing the birth registration certificate.

  • The applicant must belong to below the poverty line category.

CBSE Scholarship Scheme

The Central Board of Education has imposed a scholarship scheme known as the CBSE Single Girl Child scholarship. Under the scheme, scholarship has been provided to girls who are single children of their parents. This scheme has been implemented to empower the parents who are providing education to their single child even if she is a girl.

Eligibility Criteria Under The Scheme

The following eligibility criteria have been given to be eligible under the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (Government Schemes for Girl Child) for the year.

  • This scheme is eligible only for single girl children.
  • The beneficiaries will be selected only among the students who have scored more than 60% in their CBSE class 10 examinations.
  • The scheme is only eligible for a student who is studying in classes 11 and 12.
  • The scheme is only eligible for the student of the Central Board of Secondary Education affiliated schools.
  • The beneficiaries will be chosen among the people whose tuition fees are not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year.
  • In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fees in such schools shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award.
  • The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided to a maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • Indian Nationals girls will get scholarships only.
  • Candidates who have passed the CBSE Class X Examination in 2019 will be considered.

Application Procedure For The Scheme

The following application process must be undertaken to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship scheme 2023:-

  • First, visit the CBSE official website.
  • Click on the ‘CBSE Scholarship Portal’ box located at the bottom.
  • Click on the ‘Guidelines and Application Forms/ Apply Online option.
  • Enter your roll number and date of birth (as printed on the Class X mark sheet)
  • Enter all particulars carefully and submit the form.
  • Note down the registration number displayed on the page. The registration number will use for future preference.
  • Print the undertaking as provided in the ‘Guidelines Document’, fill it out, paste the photograph and get it attested by the school.
  • Go to the ‘upload document’ option and upload both of the above-mentioned documents.
  • Go to print the confirmation page option and generate the confirmation page.

CBSE Udaan Scheme

The scheme has been started by the Central Board of Secondary Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Development for the betterment of the girl students in the country. The scheme has been started with the objective of increasing the number of girl students in Engineering Colleges and motivating them to pursue their careers in the science field. Free online and offline courses will be provided to the girls under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Udaan Scheme

  • To be eligible for the scheme, the applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
  • The applicant must be a girl applicant.
  • She must be studying in the 11th class with a science stream in any Kendriya Vidyalaya (VK)/ Navodaya/ Government school recognized by any Board or CBSE-affiliated private schools in India.
  • She must have scored at least 70% in the metric.
  • The annual income of the student’s family must not exceed 6 Lakh.
  • She must belong to the BPL category.

CBSE Udaan Scheme Application Procedure

  • To apply for the scheme, the applicant must go to the official website of CBSE.
  • Find and Hit on the new registration option.
  • Provide all the details in the application form.
  • Upload the necessary documents.
