So, all of these schemes were launched by the Central Government and also some were launched by the State Government for the development of females in their state and overall in our country.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

Through the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, the parents of a girl child are encouraged to save for the future of their ward. They are provided saving options with high-interest rate so that they can save a large amount of money for their girl child and provide for her future judicially.

Eligibility For The Scheme

To be eligible for the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana the concerned authority has finalized the following eligibility criteria:-

  • The scheme has only been implanted for the girl child prevailing in a household. Thus, the scheme has to be open in the name of a girl child.      
  • The girl child has to be below the age of 10 at the time of account opening.
  • Multiple Sukanya Samridhhi accounts cannot be opened for a single girl child.
  • Only two SSY accounts are allowed for a family i.e. one for each girl child.

To make the beneficiaries avail the benefits of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, the interest rate under the scheme has been kept affordable and reasonable. The interest rate for July to September 2019 (Q2, FY 2019-21) is 8.4%

    • Name of Parent/Guardian opening the account (Joint Holder)
    • Initial deposit amount
    • Cheque/DD Number and Date        
    • Date of Birth of girl child
    • Birth Certificate details of the primary account holder
    • ID Details of Parent/Guardian (Driving License, Aadhaar, etc.)
    • Present and Permanent Address        
    • Details of any other KYC Documents (PAN, Voter ID card, etc.)
  • After you fill out all the details, check your form carefully and submit it to the bank

Balika Samridhi Yojana

The Balika Samridhi Yojana is also a scheme such as the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana because under the Balika Samridhi Yojana also small saving options are provided for the parents of a girl child.Also under the Balika Samridhi Yojana rupees, 5,00 is provided after the birth of every girl child.

Eligibility For The Scheme

To be eligible for the Balika Samriddhi Yojana the concerned authority has finalized the following eligibility criteria:-

  • Only the newborn girl child are included in this scheme.
  • Maximum age limit – 10 years.
  • Only two daughters of one household are eligible for the scheme.
  • Only the applicant who belongs to Below The Poverty Line household is eligible for the scheme.

Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana

Through the Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana which is launch in the Rajasthan state –

  • Rs.2,500/- is given to the mother at the birth of a girl child.
  • After completing one year, with all vaccinations done Rs 2,500/- is given through a cheque.
  • At the time of admission in any public school in grade I, Rs.4.000/- is paid to the girl child.
  • Rs.5.000/- is paid to girls in Grade VI
  • Rs. 11,000/- is paid to girls in Grade XI

Child Aadhar Card 

Eligibility For The Scheme

To be eligible for the scheme the concern authority has finalized the following eligibility criteria:-

  • The scheme is only open for the permanent resident of the Rajasthan state.
  • Also the scheme is only open for the girl child who is born after the date of 1st June’16.

Application Procedure Under The Scheme

Mukhyamantri Laadli Yojana

The Mukhyamantri Laadli Yojana is also a savings scheme and Under the scheme –

  • Rs.6000/- have to be deposited every year in your post office savings account for a period of five years.
  • The girl child then receives Rs. 2,000 in Grade 6th
  • Rs. 4000 in Grade 9th
  • Rs. 7,500 in Grade 11th.
  • Also, a monthly stipend of Rs 200 is given.
  • At 21 years of age, the deposited amount will mature and can be used at the time of marriage.

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand state.
  • The applicant must belong to the household of below the poverty line category.

Kanya Sumangala Yojana

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana is the Yojana announced for the welfare of the girl child prevailing in our country. Plus, to carry out the practices under the given scheme a portal has been dedicated separately for the program known as the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana portal. Implementation Of Government Schemes for Girl Child

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana will implement in certain stages finalized by the concerned authority:-

  • Stage 1 – If a girl is born after 1st April 2019 then she will be awarded with Rupees 2000 for one time.
  • Stage 2 – If a girl child has received full immunization and is born after 1st April 2018 then she will receive Rupees 1000 for one time.
  • Stage 3 – Ifa girl child has taken admission in Standard First in the current year then she will receive Rupees 1000 for one time.
  • Stage 4 – If a girl child has taken admission in Standard 6th in the current year then she will receive Rupees 2000 for one time.
  • Stage 5 – If a girl child has taken admission in Standard 9th in the current year then she will receive Rupees 3000 for one time.
  • Stage 6 – If a girl child has taken admission in any bachelor’s degree or diploma in the current year then she will receive Rupees 5000 for one time.

Eligibility Criteria Under MKSY 2019

To enroll yourself under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana you need to follow this simple eligibility criterion:-

  •  The applicant must belong to Uttar Pradesh state.
  • The applicant must produce relevant Ration card or Aadhar Card details to prove that she belongs to Uttar Pradesh state.
  • Under the scheme, only two girl children will get benefit from one family.
  • In the case of twins from the second delivery of the mother, all the three girl child will get benefits.
  • If your family has adopted one girl child, then a maximum of two girl children will benefit, including the biological child and an adopted child.
  • The family income should not exceed Rupees 300000.
  • To be eligible under the scheme, the family should only own two children.

Mazi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme

The Mazi Kanya Bhagyashree scheme was launched in Maharashtra state and under the scheme –

  • The mother will get Rs.5,000/- for the first five years after her daughter’s birth.
  • Rs.2,500/- will be provided per year until she reaches Grade V
  • Rs.3000/- will be provided per year until she reaches Grade XII.
  • After the age of 18 years, she will be provided with Rs.1 lakh per year for her education.

Eligibility For The Scheme

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
  • The applicant must belong to the household of below the poverty line category.

Documents Required

Nanda Devi Kanya Yojana

Under the Nanda Devi Kanya Yojana, the fixed deposit of Rs.1,500/- is made in the name of a newborn girl child in the Uttarakhand state. The principal amount of fun is given to the girl child after she attains the age of 18 years and has completed her higher education.

Eligibility For The Scheme

To be eligible for the scheme the concerned authority has finalized the following eligibility criteria:-

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand state.
  • The applicant must belong to below the poverty line category.
  • Only two girls from one household can avail the benefit of the scheme

Application Procedure Under The Scheme

Applicants can contact the Collector’s office, Gram Panchayat or Zila Parishad. They can also contact the Women Empowerment and Child Development in Uttarakhand State.

Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana

Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana is also another incentive scheme of state government of Bihar state. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana Rs.2000/- is given after showing the birth registration certificate.

Eligibility For The Scheme

To be eligible for the scheme the concerned authority has finalized the following eligibility criteria:-

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
  • The applicant must belong to below the poverty line category.

Application Procedure Government Schemes for Girl Child

Applicants can contact the Collector’s office, Gram Panchayat or Zila Parishad. The applicant can also submit an application to the nearest Anganwadi center.

CBSE Scholarship Scheme

The Central Board of Education has imposed a scholarship scheme known as CBSE Single Girl Child scholarship 2019. Under the scheme, scholarship has been provided to the girls who are single children of their parents. This scheme has been implemented to empower the parents who are providing education to their single child even if she is a girl.

Eligibility Criteria Under The Scheme

The following eligibility criteria have been given to be eligible under the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (Government Schemes for Girl Child) for the year 2019:-

  • This scheme is eligible only for the single girl child.
  • The beneficiaries will be selected only among the students who have scored more than 60% in their CBSE class 10 examinations.
  • The scheme is only eligible for the student who is studying in class 11 and 12.
  • The scheme is only eligible for the student of the Central Board of Secondary Education affiliated schools.
  • The beneficiaries will be chosen among the people whose tuition fees are not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year.
  • In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fees in such schools shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award.
  • The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided a maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • Indian Nationals girls will get scholarships only.
  • Candidates who have passed the CBSE Class X Examination in 2019 will be considered.

Application Procedure For The Scheme

The following application process must be undertaken to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship scheme 2021:-

  • First, visit the CBSE official website.
  • Click on the ‘CBSE Scholarship Portal’ box located at the bottom.
  • Click on the ‘Guidelines and Application Forms/ Apply Online’ option.
  • Enter your roll number and date of birth (as printed on the Class X mark sheet)
  • Enter all particulars carefully and submit the form.
  • Note down the registration number displayed on the page. The registration number will use for future preference.
  • Print the undertaking as provided in the ‘Guidelines Document’, fill it, paste the photograph and get it attested from the school.
  • Go to the ‘upload document’ option and upload both the above-mentioned documents.
  • Go to print the’confirmation page’ option and generate the confirmation page.
