Basic Eligibility Criteria For IBPS Clerk Recruitment

The candidates applying for the IBPS recruitment post must follow the basic eligibility criteria given below :-

  • The candidate can be a Citizen of India.
  • The candidate can be a subject of Nepal.
  • Candidate can be a subject of Bhutan.
  • The candidate can be a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • The candidate can be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Eligibility For The Post

To be eligible for the recruitment of IBPS, the candidate must be in an age of minimum 20 years and maximum 35 years. Although certain assumptions are made for the people belonging to economically weaker section and people of some castes in the upper limit of the age :-

Educational Qualifications For The Recruitment

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Application Fees Of IBPS Clerk Recruitment

An exemption has been made under the application fees for the people who are physically challenged or the people who belong to any backward class –

  • Rs. 100/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.
  • Rs. 600 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others

Preliminary Examination

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main examination.

Cut Off Under The Final Examination

To be eligible under the vacancies each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process. Depending on number of the State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for allotment.
